Why Us

Why The Metal Roof Pros?

We Only Do Metal

Metal is all we do. And we do it better than any other Los Angeles metal roofing company. We do not install shingles, tile, or flat roofs.

We Are the Experts Hired by Other Experts

General roofing companies typically know nothing about standing seam. So they sell it to you, then hire us to do the work.

Wholesale Pricing

Cut out the middleman and work with the experts chosen by other experts.

Licensed in Every Layer

We're licensed and specialized in every part of the system: C-39 (roofing), C-43 (sheet metal), Class B (the structure under your roof), and C-10 (full electrical, for solar and more), all handled in-house.

Panels Custom Formed On-Site

Our C-43 sheet-metal specialist meticulously forms each panel on your roof, on site, one at a time. Every panel is a different length, sometimes by as little as 1/8 inch.

We Exceed Manufacturer's Recommendations

We don't build to the minimum. Every roof gets premium fire-resistant Polyglass Polystick XFR underlayment, an ice-and-water barrier, double the fasteners with two screws per clip, and only 24 or 22-gauge metal, never thinner.

The Metal Advantage

Why a Standing Seam Metal Roof?

Most Cost-Effective

Most homeowners are replacing clay or concrete tile that cracks, slips, and needs constant repair. Standing seam is one and done. It outlasts tile, and you pay for it once instead of patching for years.

Most Fireproof

Non-combustible steel with a Class A fire rating, the highest there is. In Southern California fire country, that is the roof you want over your head.

Least Hassle

A 50-year roof with no cracked tiles to chase and almost no maintenance. Install it and stop thinking about your roof.

Raises Property Value

A premium standing seam roof is a permanent upgrade that buyers recognize and appraisers reward.

We had The Metal Roof Pros install a 22-gauge standing seam on our hillside property. The heavier gauge was recommended for the wind exposure and steep pitch. The installation quality is exceptional. Every panel, clip, and flashing is precise.

The Metal Roof Pros C-43 sheet metal specialist hand-forming a standing seam panel on a roof

Licensed & Specialized

Licensed and Specialized in Every Part of the System

Our co-founders, partners, and crew hold C-39 (roofing), C-43 (sheet metal, the metal expertise most roofers lack), Class B (general building, the whole structure under your roof), and C-10 (full electrical, beyond the solar-only C-46; it covers wiring, panel replacement, and solar, which we also offer).

Our C-43 sheet metal specialist runs every job on site. He leads the crew and meticulously forms each panel on your roof on site one at a time. Every panel is a different length, sometimes by as little as 1/8 of an inch, even the ones right next to each other. He measures, forms a panel, measures again, forms the next.

This is why our panels cannot be ordered ahead and shipped. Each one is formed on site by a sheet-metal expert who knows how to work the metal, not a roofer whose trade is asphalt or tile, no matter how many years he has. We are licensed and specialized in all of it, so we can handle special details and build whatever your roof needs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about metal roofing in Los Angeles.

Most residential standing seam projects in the Los Angeles metro fall between $14 and $18 per square foot installed, depending on panel profile, gauge, and coating. Our pricing is wholesale-direct because you cut out the middleman: you hire the metal contractor that other roofing companies hire, instead of paying their markup.

Yes. A metal roof in Southern California offers Class A fire protection (critical in wildfire zones), reflects solar heat to lower cooling bills, and lasts 50+ years with minimal maintenance. It is one of the few roofing materials that increases resale value while lowering insurance premiums.

Yes. A standing seam metal roof is non-combustible with a Class A fire rating, the best a roof can have, and we add ember-resistant vents, fire-resistant underlayment, and fire-resistant attic insulation for a complete wildfire defense.

Yes, California insurers favor Class A, non-combustible roofs, and a standing seam metal roof is both. In today's tightening insurance market, that can make your home easier to insure. Check with your carrier about how it affects your specific policy.

A properly installed standing seam metal roof lasts 40-70 years. Standard architectural asphalt shingles last 15-25 years in Southern California due to UV degradation and thermal cycling. Over the life of a home, metal costs less because it never needs full replacement.

Yes. We work with lenders for every situation and income level, with financing available for credit scores as low as 620. Tell us your project and budget and we'll match you with the right option.

Yes. Our team holds a C-10 Electrical License, so we install both your standing seam metal roof and your solar as one coordinated project, handled by a single licensed team. A C-10 covers full electrical, well beyond the solar-only C-46 most installers carry.

No. We do not install over existing shingles. A standing seam roof depends on clips fastened into a sound deck, and leaving shingles in place compromises that attachment and hides deck problems. We always tear off to the deck, inspect and repair it, and install proper high-temp underlayment. We will not warranty a roof installed over old shingles.

For most homes, yes. Standing seam will not crack or slip like tile, it carries a Class A fire rating, it weighs far less on your structure, and it lasts 50 years or more without the constant tile repairs. If you are replacing an aging tile roof, metal is usually the last roof you will buy.

No. When installed over a solid plywood deck with proper underlayment, a metal roof is no louder than any other roofing material. The combination of decking, underlayment, and attic insulation effectively dampens sound.

No. Metal roofs do not increase the likelihood of a lightning strike. Metal is non-combustible, so in the rare event of a strike, a metal roof is actually safer than wood or asphalt because it will not catch fire.
